Change a customer login name
Customer login names can be changed at any time using the Alarm.com customer website and Alarm.com app.
Note: If the message Login name is invalid is received when attempting to change a login name, the new login name may already be in use. For more information about login requirements, see What are the login name and password requirements?.
Change a login name
To change a login name using the Alarm.com customer website:
Note: The only login name that can be changed is for the login used to access the Alarm.com customer website.
- Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
- Click Settings.
- Click Login Information.
- Click Login Name.
- In the Login Name field, enter the new login name.
- In the Current Password field, enter the current customer login password.
- Click Save.
To change a login name using the Alarm.com app:

- Log in to the Alarm.com app.
- Tap
. - Tap Login information.
- Tap Login Name.
- In the Login Name field, enter the new login name.
- In the Current Password field, enter the current customer login password.
- Tap Save.
