The third-party camera cannot be unlocked/authenticated

The ONVIF or VAPIX user profile credentials are set during the camera's initial configuration.

Complete the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Verify that the entered password is correct by logging into the camera's local webpage; remember, these credentials should be the credentials for the ONVIF or VAPIX user profile previously created for the camera. For more information about ONVIF and VAPIX, see What is ONVIF and VAPIX?.
  2. From the camera's local webpage, change the password and retry installation.
  3. Factory reset the camera.
