Supported networking layouts (topology)

In order to communicate with Alarm.com, third-party cameras must be connected using Ethernet to the ADC-SVR210 or a 20XXP/21XXP pro series CSVR.

Networking layouts (i.e., topology)

Caution: Wireless topologies are not supported. In order to communicate with Alarm.com, third-party cameras must be connected to a compatible Alarm.com Stream Video Recorder using Ethernet either directly or through a PoE switch.

• The router is connected to the SVR210's Uplink port.
• The unmanaged PoE switch is connected to the SVR210's Cameras port.
• The cameras are connected to the unmanaged PoE switch.

  • The router is connected to the ADC-CSVR2000P's Client port.
  • The cameras are connected to a Power over Ethernet (PoE) network switch.
  • The PoE network switch is connected to the ADC-CSVR2000P's Camera port.

  • The router is connected to the ADC-CSVR2008P/16P's Client port.
  • The cameras are connected the ADC-CSVR2008P/16P's Camera ports.

  • The router is connected to the CSVR2108/2116P's Client port.
  • The cameras are connected to the CSVR2108/2116P's PoE ports.

Note: Alternatively, third-party cameras can be connected to an unmanaged PoE switch that is connected to the CSVR2108P/16P's Camera port.
