Replace the drive for an ADC-SVR210

The drive for an ADC-SVR210 can be replaced.

To replace the drive for an ADC-SVR210:

  1. Disconnect the power and Ethernet cables from the SVR.
  2. Remove the plastic door on the back of the SVR.
  3. Disconnect the cables from the HDD.
  4. Unscrew the screw on the plastic HDD caddy.
     
    Note: Avoid removing the screw as it is difficult to re-insert.
     
  5. Pull firmly on the plastic handle for the HDD caddy to remove it.
  6. With the caddy removed, remove the screws securing the HDD to the caddy.
  7. Take the new HDD and secure it to the caddy.
  8. Replace the caddy into the ADC-SVR210 and secure it in place with the screw.
  9. Reconnect HDD cables.
  10. Replace the plastic door.
  11. Reconnect the power and Ethernet cables to the SVR.
  12. Using the Alarm.com customer website run hard drive care.
    • To run hard drive care:
      1. Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
      2. Click Video.
      3. Click Settings.
      4. Using the dropdown menu, select the SVR.
      5. Click Drive Care.
      6. Click Run a Hard Drive Check.
