What do the various colors on the SVR Timeline indicate?
Color is used on the SVR Timeline to indicate things like motion detection and high-efficiency recording availability. For more information about high-efficiency recording, see What is High Efficiency Recording?.
Important: Motion indicators in the SVR Timeline are available only for 2000 or 2100 series Alarm.com CSVRs.
SVR timeline colors
- Dark blue regions on the SVR Timeline Ribbon indicate periods with detected motion.
- If the camera has High-Efficiency Recording enabled, video recorded at these times will be available in high definition, corresponding with the resolution selected in the recording rule.
- Light blue regions on the SVR Timeline Ribbon indicate periods with no motion detected.
- If the camera has High-Efficiency Recording enabled, video recorded at this time will only be available in standard definition.
- Light grey regions indicate that no footage is available. The recording rule may have been paused, or the camera may have experienced trouble recording. For troubleshooting information, see Camera Unexpectedly Not Recording.
Note: Motion detection recording rules are not the same as Video Analytics recording rules. The colors remain the same when Video Analytics recording rules are triggered, but activity icons are overlaid in small orange circles above the Timeline Ribbon.
