Associate a video device to an Alarm.com Stream Video Recorder
Associate a video device with an Alarm.com Stream Video Recorder (SVR) so that the SVR can start recording footage. Video devices can be associated at any time using the Partner MobileTech app, Alarm.com customer website, or Alarm.com app, or during installation using the Partner MobileTech app.
A video device can only record video to a single SVR at a time. The video device's existing SVR recording schedule must be deleted before the video device can be associated with a different SVR.
Important: Deleting a video device's existing SVR recording schedule disassociates the video device from the SVR and deletes the video device's recorded footage from that SVR. Make sure to export any desired recorded footage from the device before deleting its SVR recording schedule.
For more information about when recorded footage can be deleted from an SVR, see Can video be deleted from an SVR?.
For steps and information about exporting recorded footage from an SVR, see Export saved video from an SVR/CSVR.
The process to associate video devices to an SVR varies depending on the model of SVR being used. Select the SVR from the following options:
ADC-SVR100/ADC-SVR122/ADC-SVR210/ADC-CSVR126

Recommendations for associating Wi-Fi devices to an SVR
Use an ADC-SG130 in the wireless connection configuration to significantly improve the experience when using wireless devices in conjunction with the Stream Video Recorder.
When connecting a wireless device (i.e., Alarm.com wireless cameras and/or POE to Wi-Fi bridges) to a compatible SVR, it is recommended to enroll these devices to an SG130 for their network connection. The SG130 is designed to internally handle DHCP leases for its attached devices as well as the routing required to allow them to successfully stream to the SVR.
For more information about the SG130, see Smart Gateway (ADC-SG130).
