Skybell Doorbell Camera installation fails on an iPhone
A Skybell installation may fail on an iPhone if the Local Network setting for the Alarm.com app is toggled off.
The messaging referring to this setting appears for the first time when Live View or an install is attempted after an update to iOS 14+.
How to resolve:
Using iOS 18:
- Open the Settings app on the iPhone that is performing the installation.
- Scroll to and select Privacy & Security.
- Scroll to and select Local Network.
- Toggle on the Local Network setting for Alarm.com.

Using iOS 14:
- Open the Settings app on the iPhone that is performing the installation.
- Scroll to and select the Alarm.com app.
- Toggle on the Local Network setting.
