The ADC-V520 image is flickering dark/light in live view

If the image on an ADC-V520 is flickering dark/light, it is likely because the camera's max exposure is set to automatic. In this case, the video device is not able to stabilize at one value, and the image appears to flicker.

To adjust a camera's max exposure using the Alarm.com customer website:

  1. Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
  2. Click Video.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Select the desired video device.
  5. Click Image Settings.
  6. Using the Max Exposure dropdown menu, select a value other than automatic.

Note:1/30 is a common set value, but this should be adjusted based on how the camera image looks.

  7. Click Save.
