Remote streaming methods for Alarm.com video devices
The remote streaming method describes how the customer account can access the video device's live footage. The platform chooses the method automatically based on the network conditions.

| Relayed | On the Alarm.com customer website, the live video stream is always relayed through Alarm.com's cloud infrastructure. The stream is sent from the camera to the cloud, and then down to the browser. |
| End-To-End | On the Alarm.com customer website, the platform attempts to create a secure connection directly between the camera and the browser. If this connection is established, video will stream directly from the camera to the Alarm.com customer website, reducing latency. If the platform is not able to establish the connection, video will be relayed through a cloud connection. |
