Flipping the image using software is often easier than flipping the camera physically.

Flip the image of a video camera

The video image on a camera can be flipped using the Partner Portal, Partner MobileTech app, Alarm.com customer website, or Alarm.com app. This setting applies to all footage the camera captures after the setting is changed.

Partner Portal
  1. Log in to the Partner Portal.
  2. Find the customer account.
  3. Click Equipment.
  4. Click Video Devices.
  5. Using the Video Device dropdown menu, select the desired video device.
  6. Click Flip Camera Image.
  7. After a few minutes, have the customer view live video to verify the changes are applied.
Partner MobileTech app
  1. Log in to the Partner MobileTech app.
  2. Find the customer account.
  3. Tap Equipment.
  4. In Video Devices, tap to select the desired video device.
  5. Tap to select Flip Camera Image.
  6. After a few minutes, have the customer view live video to verify the changes are applied.
Alarm.com customer website
  1. Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
  2. Click Video.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Select the desired video device.
  5. Click Video.
  6. In Live Video Settings, click Image Settings.
  7. Click the Flip Image toggle switch to flip the image.
  8. Click Save.
  9. After a few minutes, have the customer view live video to verify the changes are applied.
Alarm.com app
  1. Log in to the Alarm.com app.
  2. Tap Video .
  3. Tap Configure.
  4. In Video Devices, tap to select the desired video device.
  5. In Settings, tap Video.
  6. Tap Image Settings.
  7. Tap the Flip Image toggle switch to flip the image.
  8. Tap Save.
  9. After a few minutes, have the customer view live video to verify the changes are applied.
