Are there additional mounting brackets for Alarm.com Video Doorbells?

Yes. Depending on the Video Doorbell model, several options may be available for additional mounting brackets.

Select which Video Doorbell model you want to see alternate mounting options for:

ADC-VDB750

The ((vdb750model}} has an optional Wedge Mount Kit (ADC-VDBA-750-WMK) that includes:

  • A 5° downward wedge to minimize the blind spot at the bottom of the field of view
  • A 15° left/right wedge to provide a better field of view for installations on angled siding, or on walls perpendicular to the door
Important: The correct wedge type must be selected if you are installing the downward wedge. You do not need to adjust the wedge type for the left/right wedge. For more information about how to choose the wedge type, see Adjust the wedge type for an Alarm.com Video Doorbell.

ADC-VDB755P

Additional mounting brackets for the ADC-VDB755P include:

  • Wedge Mount Kit (ADC-VDBA-755P-WMK) that includes two additional wedge types
  • Flush Mount Kit (ADC-VDBA-755P-FMK) to enable clean, in-wall installations
  • Decorative Plates for the Alarm.com PoE Video Door Station (ADC-VDBA-755P-COVER) transforms a functional installation into a polished, professional look
  • Single-gang Mounting Plate Kit (ADC-VDBA-755P-MNT) acts as a junction box to contain wiring

Wedge Mount Kit (ADC-VDBA-755P-WMK)

The additional wedges in the Wedge Mount Kit allow the user to achieve more extreme left/right pans for installation on walls perpendicular to the door. It also adds different options for tilt combined with left/right pan to allow for expanded vFoV to the ground, minimizing the blind spot at the bottom of the field of view to capture smaller packages.

Important: The correct wedge type must be selected if you are installing the downward wedge. You do not need to adjust the wedge type for the left/right wedge. For more information about how to choose the wedge type, see Adjust the wedge type for an Alarm.com Video Doorbell.

Screw usage guide included in the ADC-VDBA-755P-MNT kit:

The ADC-VDBA-755P-MNT includes a flat adapter that can be used for installations where the single-gang box is installed in a way that requires the adapter for the ADC-VDB755P to be installed flush with the wall plate. 

Note: Only one screw set, A or B, needs to be used; two different lengths are provided for the installer's preference. Screw sets C and D are optional only if the installer wants to install the wedge or flat adapter on top of the wall plate. 

Screw sets 755P

Screw set A:
  • Screw size: 6-32 x 1.5"
  • Standard Installation: Use to screw the VDB755P and wall plate to the junction box.
  • Wedge or Flat Adapter Installation: Use to screw the wall plate to the junction box.
Screw set B:
  • Screw size: 6-32 x .75"
  • Standard Installation: Use to screw the VDB755P and wall plate to the junction box.
  • Wedge or Flat Adapter Installation: Use to screw the wall plate to the junction box.
Screw set C (optional):
  • Screw size: 3.5 mm x 10 mm
  • Wedge or Flat Adapter Installation: Use to screw the wedge or flat adapter to the wall plate using the diagonally oriented threaded inserts.
Screw set D (optional):
  • Screw size: 3.5 mm x 6 mm
  • Wedge or Flat Adapter Installation: Use to screw the VDB755P to the wedge or flat adapter.

ADC-VDB770

In addition to the three mounting brackets included with the ADC-VDB770, the optional Wedge Mount Kit (ADC-VDBA-WMK) includes four additional wedge types.

The additional wedges allow the user to achieve more extreme left/right pans for installation on walls perpendicular to the door. It also adds different options for tilt combined with left/right pan to allow for expanded vFoV to the ground, minimizing the blind spot at the bottom of the field of view to capture smaller packages.

ADC-VDB775

The ADC-VDB775 Wedge Mount Kit (ADC-VDBA-775-WMK) includes three types of wedges: 5° down, 30° left or right, and a 0° spacer.

The additional wedges allow the user to achieve a downward angle for elevated entryways and to capture smaller packages on the ground, more extreme left/right pans for installation on walls perpendicular to the door, or to place the doorbell further from the installation surface so the field of view is not obscured by nearby house trim or angled siding.

ADC-VDB781B

The ADC-VDB781B Wedge Mount Kit (ADC-VDBA-781B-WMK) includes a 30° left or right pan wedge that allows more extreme left/right pans for installation on walls perpendicular to the door, or to place the doorbell further from the installation surface so the field of view is not obscured by nearby house trim or angled siding.
