Adjust the wedge type for an Alarm.com Video Doorbell
When a wedge mounting bracket is used to install an Alarm.com Video Doorbell, it may be necessary to enable and/or adjust the wedge setting for optimal Video Analytics motion detection. This process can be completed using the Alarm.com customer website or Alarm.com app.

When to adjust the wedge type

To adjust the wedge type for an Alarm.com Video Doorbell
You can adjust the wedge type for an Alarm.com Video Doorbell using the Alarm.com customer website or Alarm.com app.
To adjust the wedge type using the Alarm.com customer website:
- Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
- Click Video.
- Click Settings.
- Select the desired video device.
- Click General
- Using the Wedge dropdown menu, select the wedge type being used to mount the doorbell.
Important: For the ADC-VDB750 and ADC-VDB755P, this dropdown menu is labeled Downward Wedge Installed and users select Yes only if the 5° down wedge is installed. - Click Save.
To adjust the wedge type using the Alarm.com app:
- Log in to the Alarm.com app.
- Tap

. - Tap the desired video device.
- Tap General.
- Using the Wedge dropdown menu, select the wedge type being used to mount the doorbell.
Important: For the ADC-VDB750 and ADC-VDB755P, this dropdown menu is labeled Downward Wedge Installed and users select Yes only if the 5° down wedge is installed. - Tap Save.
