Adjust the field of view of doorbell cameras
The field of view page allows customers to determine what field of view is used by their camera.
- The Optimized setting is the default setting and is recommended for the best image quality.
- The Expanded setting takes full advantage of the device's supported field of view, providing a marginal increase in the horizontal field of view compared to the Optimized setting.
Compatibility requirements
- Alarm.com Video Doorbell (ADC-VDB750) on firmware version 2091+
- The optimized view reduces the potential for dark corners in the field of view.
- Alarm.com Wireless Video Doorbell (ADC-VDB780B)
- The optimized view reduces the warping in the corners when objects are very close to the doorbell camera.
