Audio recording and playback for SVR and CSVR Video

Customers can remotely view and download continuous video with audio using the Audio Recording and Playback for SVR feature. Recordings with audio can be viewed through the SVR Timeline on the Alarm.com customer website.

Important: Audio recordings are not enabled by default. For more information about verifying audio recording is enabled, see Two-Way Audio Installation and User Guide.

Compatibility requirements

  • A video service package with the Video 24x7 and Continuous Audio Recording for SVR Video add-ons.
  • One of the following compatible Alarm.com Stream Video Recorders (SVRs):
    • ADC-CSVR2000P/2008P/2016P
    • ADC-CSVR2108P/2116P
    • ADC-SVR210
  • One of the following compatible Alarm.com cameras:
    • ADC-V515
    • ADC-V523/523X
    • ADC-V724/724X
    • ADC-VC727P
    • ADC-V729/V729AC/VC729P
    • ADC-V530
    • ADC-V730/VC730P
    • ADC-VC7398PA
    • ADC-VC8498PA
    • ADC-VC8498P
    • ADC-VDB755P

Enable SVR audio recording

Audio recording must be enabled using the Alarm.com customer website before the SVR will record audio.

To enable SVR audio recording using the Alarm.com customer website:
  1. Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
  2. Click Video.
  3. Click Recording Rules.
  4. Click Local Recordings.
  5. Click Add New Schedule. To edit an existing recording schedule, click Edit.
  6. Click SVR.
  7. Click to select the desired SVR.
  8. In Audio, click to select Record to SVR.

  9. Configure the recording schedule as desired.
  10. Click Save.

View SVR recordings with audio

SVR recordings with audio can be viewed using the Alarm.com customer website or Alarm.com app.

  1. Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
  2. Click Video.
  3. Click SVR Timeline.
  4. Using the Select Camera Group dropdown, select a camera group if desired.
  5. Click Play forwards to stream recordings.
  6. Click sound-mute.svg to turn on the sound volume.
  1. Log in to the Alarm.com app.
  2. Tap Video.
  3. Tap Live.
  4. Tap Camera View on the desired camera to view the SVR Timeline.
  5. Tap sound-mute.svg to turn on the sound volume.
