How can I tell if the solar panel is charging the camera?
How much sunlight do I need?
More than 3 hours of full solar panel sunlight per day should provide enough charge to keep the batteries charged indefinitely.
Why is my solar panel not charging my camera?
- Review the camera's Battery Status page using the Alarm.com customer website or Alarm.com app.
- Review any trouble status information.
- In Solar Panel Charging, verify whether or not the camera shows it is charging.
- The camera's battery will not charge if the battery's temperature is outside the range of 32°F to 113°F (0°C to 45°C).
- Verify the solar panel is securely plugged into the camera.
- Verify the solar panel is getting enough sunlight throughout the day. If possible, review the position at various times during the day.

- If debris or dust has accumulated on the solar panel, charging will be diminished.
- Remove any debris or dust from the solar panel with water and a soft cloth.
- If the camera still does not indicate it is receiving charge from the solar panel, review the previous steps above as needed.
- Remove the battery from the camera and charge the battery pack on its own to verify whether or not the camera is able to charge.
