Live View is showing as solid blue for an ADC-VS121

If the Live View shows as solid blue, either the video server is not receiving input from the analog camera, or the input type is incompatible with the video server.

To troubleshoot:

  1. Verify the affected camera has power.
  2. Verify the BNC cable is connected fully.
  3. Test the BNC cable:
    • Plug the BNC cable into a monitor, a pre-existing DVR setup, or a different (working) camera.
  4. Replace the cable and/or camera if necessary.

Unsupported analog cameras

The easiest way to determine if the analog camera is not compatible is to see if it has an HDMI to Coax connection. The ADC-VS121 is only able to be used with a true analog connection. Check the model of the camera to determine if it uses an HDMI connection.

If the analog cameras show as the following, they are not compatible:

  • HDCVI
  • HDTVI
  • AHD

Note: Some HDMI to Coax cameras include a switch that has the ability to transition between HDMI and analog. To determine if the camera supports this feature, contact the camera manufacturer.
