Shooter Detection Systems (SDS) Powered by Alarm.com Overview
The Shooter Detection Systems (SDS) Powered by Alarm.com gunshot sensor uses two infrared and acoustic sensors to detect gunshots with a greater than 99% accuracy rate. Gunshot signals are automatically forwarded to Alarm.com’s cloud-based security platform and the customer’s central station is alerted within seconds.

The PoE sensor can be networked to a PoE switch or directly to the local network.
Accuracy and speed
Equipped with microphones that listen for a gun’s acoustic blast and infrared sensors that look for the muzzle flash, the sensor has a greater than 99% accurate rate. Detection through the Alarm.com cloud in less than one second.
Installation and range
It can be flush mounted on the wall or ceiling, or surface mounted on brick, concrete, and other hard surfaces. The Field of View covers 2,500 square feet and direct line-of-sight is not required.
