Non-Production Firmware

This trouble condition is not commonly seen. If this does populate, it means that the current panel firmware is not certified for use with Alarm.com and may have firmware from a beta or other pre-release version.

Important considerations

  • This trouble condition primarily only appears on DSC and 2GIG panels.
  • On DSC PowerSeries Pro panels, this trouble condition is used to identify customers that have Panel Firmware of 1.20+ with Alarm.com PowerSeries Neo/Pro communicator firmware less than 189g. Upgrade the module via OTA to the newest firmware to clear this trouble condition.

How to resolve:

Verify if the firmware version of the panel is compatible. For information about finding the current firmware version, see Remotely find or request the firmware version of a panel

  • If the firmware version is compatible, verify the panel's wiring.
  • If the firmware version is not compatible, either:
    • Upgrade the panel or module firmware to a compatible version. For more information about upgrading the firmware remotely, see Remotely upgrade panel firmware
    • Swap the panel with one that has a compatible firmware version.

Once a compatible panel firmware version is reported to Alarm.com, the trouble condition clears.
