Credentials in Conflict

The Credentials in Conflict trouble condition means that two user credentials on a single Access Control account or Access Control enterprise group match, and at least one of the two users has access to any access point. A potential scenario that could trigger this is the merging of two accounts into one Access Control enterprise group.

In the event a conflict of user credentials occurs, it is required to edit or remove the credentials from one of the listed users to avoid a scenario where two conflicting users have access to the same access points without distinguishing who actually presented their credentials.

How to resolve:

  1. Log in to the Alarm.com customer website. 
  2. Click User Access.
  3. Click Users.
  4. Click to select any user with conflicting credentials.
  5. In Credentials, click the credential desired to change.
  6. Click Edit or Delete to change the credential or remove it.
  7. Click Save.
  8. If additional edits are required, repeat steps 4-7 until no users have conflicting credentials.
