Camera or SVR - Firmware Out of Date

Firmware updates for non-doorbell cameras and Stream Video Recorders (SVRs) have been made available as older firmware versions will not support some future enhancements. An automated process has been applying these updates to connected video devices. However, non-doorbell cameras and SVRs that are offline or have poor connectivity may need to be updated manually after reconnecting. This firmware must be applied for the video devices to be able to continue displaying the camera’s name and timestamp in the on-screen display.

Affected customers with non-doorbell cameras or SVRs will see a new trouble condition for out-of-date firmware for video devices so they can execute the upgrade themselves.  Alarm.com will continue attempting to automatically push the upgrade through as well to minimize customer impact.

How to resolve:

Update the video device's firmware to the latest available version using the Customer Website. For more information about the specific firmware updates needed to resolve this trouble condition, see Firmware update reference.
