Battery Absent
The Battery Absent trouble condition indicates that the device's battery was removed or has fully depleted.
How to resolve:
Verify the battery is properly wired and securely in place. If so, the battery may need to be replaced.
For panels, most have a special battery pack located behind the back cover of the panel. For device-specific information regarding battery replacement, see the panel-specific guide for Battery Replacement or refer to the panel installation guide in Panels.
If the device does not show a battery absent trouble locally but Alarm.com does, verify a restore signal from the device is sent. To verify a restore signal is sent:
- Remove the battery.
- Verify a battery absent signal is triggered.
- The device may need to be power cycled to trigger the battery absent signal.
- Wait a few minutes for the battery absent signal to send.
- Plug the battery back in to get a restore signal.
- Allow a few minutes for the battery absent restore signal to send. The trouble condition clears once the system sends a successful restore.
