How do sensitivity levels for nami motion detection work?

Activity sensors (i.e., nami SensePlugs and Alarm Pods) work together to continuously sense motion in the area. As a result, the level of activity within a zone can be estimated.

Sensitivity level

The sensitivity level parameter determines the granularity of motion detection. The lower the sensitivity level parameter, the longer and more intense the activity must be to trigger motion detection.

Toggle the parameter to High for greater motion detection sensitivity, or to Low if the default is too sensitive.

For reference, the Low setting is recommended for households with pets or robot vacuum cleaners to prevent their activity from triggering unwanted alarms. Likewise, the High setting is recommended for those who want a more sensitive security system.

Note: A sensitivity setting of High may increase the rate of false alarms.
