Master Code Sync

Randomized master code is generated at account creation and applied to the panel as a part of the zone scan process on bootup.

Randomized master code is not used for account creation. The existing master code on the panel is scanned via ULDL.

If ULDL is unavailable then the master code sync must be done manually.

Tuxedo (Touchscreen keypad) compatibility

For more information, see Is the SEM-Honeywell/ADEMCO Vista compatible with touchscreen keypads?

Compatible, but console mode is required for full functionality.

Compatible, but console mode is required for user code arming/disarming and bypassing sensors.

Console mode is no longer required for:

  • Quick programming changes (e.g., changing local sensor names).
  • Adding, editing, or deleting user codes.

Remote Toolkit Functionality

Limited access to remote panel and device configuration.

(e.g., No access to panel settings, no ability to remotely add a sensor or keyfob, no ability to set or edit auto phone tests, etc.)

Remote access to:

  • Configure panel settings.
  • Add/Delete a sensor.
  • Add a keyfob.
  • Set/Edit auto phone tests.
  • Turn On/Off Trouble Beeps.

Double Disarm

For more information, see Alarms are still occurring on a SEM-Honeywell/ADEMCO Vista even when the panel is disarmed

Requires remote disarm or two local disarms after an alarm event to prevent false alarms.

Remote disarms automatically disarm the system twice, but result in two disarm notifications.

Zone Scan

Must not be interrupted.

Zone scan lasts up to 10 minutes. Panel keypad cycles through programming during this time.

Zone scans every time it is power cycled.

Event History does not show Zone Scan in Lmessage events for firmware versions below 185.

Custom sensor names are not supported.

If ULDL is available:

  • Panel displays Modem Comm and cannot be physically interrupted.
  • Zone scan lasts up to 5 minutes.
  • Only zone scans once. After the initial zone scan, the panel only goes into Modem Comm for a few seconds instead of a full zone scan every time it is power cycled.
  • Event History displays the zone scan in Lmessage events.
  • Custom sensor names are not supported.

Delete All User Codes

Required to delete any codes entered before the SEM was attached.

If ULDL is available, it is not required to delete any codes entered before the SEM was attached. All user codes are synced during the zone scan process.

Dialer Delay

Needs to be set using Alarm.com. Changes to the dialer delay locally at the panel are not changed on Alarm.com.

Can be set locally at the panel or remotely using Alarm.com.
