Wire the SEM to a DSC PowerSeries panel
Use the following as a guide to wiring the SEM to a DSC PowerSeries panel.
For the full SEM installation guide, see SEM-DSC PowerSeries Dual-Path - Installation Guide.
Wiring the SEM to the panel
Caution: Verify panel AC power is removed and the backup battery is disconnected.

- Connect panel terminal SEM GND to BLK.
- Connect panel terminal YELLOW (IN) to YEL.
- Connect panel terminal GREEN (OUT) to GRN.
- Use the included red cable with the two-prong battery connector to connect the battery to both the SEM and the panel. For a power limited circuit, ensure the 3 amp fuse is inside the PowerSeries panel. This fuse is a 3A 250V 5x20mm fuse.
The following image displays an example of terminals on the DSC PowerSeries panel:

Routing antennas
Once wiring is complete, route the antennas outside of the enclosure, away from the SEM, and replace the enclosure cover.
The antennas should be routed through the second and third channel openings at the top of the enclosure as shown in the following images:
Dual-Path (Optional)
On the Dual-Path SEM, connect the provided Ethernet Dongle to the connector on the SEM for Broadband Ethernet connection.
Connect the Ethernet cable to the provided Ethernet Dongle.
Power up the panel
To power up the panel, connect the battery first, and then restore AC power to the panel. If it is properly synced, the SEM does a zone scan to read the panel's information.
If the panel is not communicating properly, see SEM-DSC PowerSeries has an empty sensor list or will not zone scan.
