Compatibility considerations
- PowerG PIR cameras are only compatible with capturing alarm and Peek-in Now images.
- For alarm images, the PowerG PIR camera captures an image when it detects the first motion after the panel goes into alarm.
- For more information about requesting Peek-In Now images, see Take an Image Sensor image (Peek-In).
- PowerG PIR camera uploads for alarms and Peek-in Now images count towards the customer's monthly upload limit.
- PowerG PIR cameras can be used with Alarm.com Visual Verification for the Qolsys IQ Panel 4. For more information about Alarm.com Visual Verification, see Alarm.com Visual Verification.

Image uploads per PIR Camera during alarm events
The number of PIR camera images that get uploaded for each alarm event is dependent on the service package setting Image Upload Count. This setting can be set to a value of 1 or 10 Image Upload.
The following displays where the Image Upload Count is shown in the customer's service package:

If the Image Upload Count in the customer's service package is set to:
- 10 Image Upload, customers will be able to see 10 individual images at the panel and on the Alarm.com customer website or Alarm.com app when the PIR Camera is triggered during an alarm event.
- 1 Image Upload, customers may still be able to capture 10 images from the PIR Camera and be able to view them at the panel if the panel is set to capture 10 images (Installer/Dealer Settings → PowerG Camera Alarm Image Upload Count → 10). However, just 1 of those 10 images will be uploaded to Alarm.com customer website or Alarm.com app.
Note: The service package setting determines the maximum number of images uploaded for each alarm event and is tied to How many images can customers upload per month. This setting determines the number of images captured by the PIR Camera that will be available at the panel and not necessarily how many are uploaded to Alarm.com.
The following table outlines the events that cause images to be captured and uploaded by the PIR Camera and the panel camera.
