Run Scenes from the Qolsys IQ Panel 4
The Qolsys IQ Panel 4 has the ability to run Alarm.com Scenes locally at the panel. For more information about configuring Scenes, see Create/edit a Scene.
Compatibility
To following are required to locally run Scenes.
- Local Scenes support must be enabled in panel programming.
- The panel must have only one partition.
- Local Scenes support is not compatible with multiple partitions. If multiple partitions are enabled on the panel, local Scenes support is automatically disabled.
Note: Remote Scenes can still be performed even if local Scenes are disabled.
Enable local Scenes support on the panel
Local Scenes support is disabled by default on the Qolsys IQ Panel 4 but can be enabled locally using the panel.
Important: When local Scenes support is enabled for the panel, arming the system stay or away will always follow the panel's normal exit delay.
To configure which Scenes appear on the panel:
This option is only available to update using the Alarm.com customer website.
- Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
- In the Welcome card, click Scenes.
- Click
on the scene to configure. - Click to select Show on Panel for the scene to display on the panel, or deselect Show on Panel for the scene to not display on the panel.
- Click Save. Allow a few minutes for the changes to apply at the panel.
To locally run Scenes using the panel:
- From the home screen, tap
.
- If this option does not appear on the panel's screen, verify the compatibility requirements. For more information, see Compatibility.
- Tap to select the Scene to run.
Note: Scenes that include a disarm command require a valid user code to be entered at the panel when the scene is performed. If the duress code is used, a duress alarm will be triggered, as it would during a normal disarm.
