Connect a Qolsys IQ Panel 4 to a Wi-Fi network
The Qolsys IQ Panel 4 is compatible with Dual-Path Wi-Fi communication. The panel can be connected to a Wi-Fi network using the panel, Alarm.com app, or Alarm.com customer website.
Dual-Path communication is typically pre-enabled by default. For more information about enabling Dual-Path communication, see Configure Dual-Path communication for a panel remotely.
Important: A communication test must be performed to initially register the cellular module before a Wi-Fi or Dual-Path test is performed. If a communication test is not performed first, it may result in Dual-Path communication troubles. To connect the panel to Wi-Fi locally using the Qolsys IQ Panel 4:
- Flick down to open the menu on the home screen, then tap Settings.
- Tap Advanced Settings.
- Enter the installer or master code.
- Tap Wi-Fi.
- Tap Add Wi-Fi Network.
- Tap to select the wireless network name.
- Enter the wireless network's password, if applicable.
- Tap Connect.
