Bypass a sensor on a Qolsys IQ Panel

Important: These steps differ for other Qolsys panel variants (i.e., IQ Panel 2, IQ Panel 4, etc.). For information about configuring bypass on other Qolsys panel variants, see the panel-specific guide for Bypass a sensor.

On the Qolsys IQ Panel (Gen 1), it is possible to bypass an open contact sensor, or any sensor with a trouble condition (e.g., tamper, low battery, offline, etc.) when arming a system from the Alarm.com customer website or Alarm.com app. Sending an arming command will automatically bypass any zones that would prevent arming. A motion sensor that has been activated, such as one that has recently detected motion, would not be bypassed if the panel is being armed away.

On the Qolsys IQ Panel (Gen 1), it is not possible to select a specific sensor to bypass using the Alarm.com customer website or Alarm.com app. The only way to remotely bypass a sensor is to arm the system, which triggers an automatic sensor bypass.

For more information about bypassing a sensor directly from the security panel, see Qolsys IQ Panel User Guide.
