Send a communication test from a Qolsys IQ4 NS

Sending a communication test verifies that the module is communicating on the cellular network.

Send a communication test 

On the Qolsys IQ4 NS, a communication test can be sent using the panel or IQ Installer Interface. 

Important: Run Cell Test for NS must be enabled in panel settings for this method to send a cell test. For more information about remotely updating panel settings, see Upload and download panel device settings. 

  1. Double-press the button on the side of the panel.

Important: The following information comes from the IQ4 NS installation manual. For more information about using the IQ Installer Interface, refer to Qolsys IQ4 NS - Installation Guide or contact Qolsys. 

  1. Open the IQ Installer Interface.
  2. Tap the Tests icon at the bottom of the screen. 
  3. Tap to select Cellular test.
  4. Tap to select Start. 

A successful test shows the carrier, connection status, IMEI, and signal strength on the screen.
