Interact with automation devices using an IQ Remote
Users can interact with Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, and PowerG lights, locks, thermostats, and garage devices locally when using a Wi-Fi-enrolled IQ Remote keypad with a compatible Qolsys panel.
Note: Additional devices may be able to be added and controlled locally. For more information, refer to the device manufacturer.
To interact with enrolled lights using an IQ Remote keypad:
- Swipe to the Lights section.
- Tap the round checkbox next to the desired lights/smart sockets.
- Tap On, Off, or Get Status.
To interact with enrolled locks using an IQ Remote keypad:
- Swipe to the Locks section.
- Flick up/down to choose a door (if applicable).
- Tap the key icon to lock
or unlock
the door. Alternatively, tap Unlock All or Lock All.
To interact with enrolled thermostats using an IQ Remote keypad:
Important: To interact with ecobee Smart Thermostats, the panel must be a Qolsys IQ Panel 4/IQ4 Hub/IQ4 NS with software version 4.6.1+ and Dual-Path communication. For more information about adding this device, see ecobee Smart Thermostats - Integration Guide.
- Swipe to the Thermostats section.
- Tap the arrows to adjust the temperature.
- Tap
to set the fan to Fan On or Fan Auto. - Tap the currently displayed icon to set the thermostat status to Off
, Heat
, Cool
, or Auto
.
To interact with garage devices using an IQ Remote keypad:
The IQ Remote keypad allows users to interact with Linear, LiftMaster, Genie, and Overhead Door garage door controls locally at the panel.
- Swipe to the Garage section.
- View the current status of the garage doors.
- Tap Open
or Close
to open or close the garage doors.
Note: MyQ Gate Openers and Commercial Garage Door Openers are not currently supported for viewing or controlling status on the IQ Remote.
