Which Interlogix NX sensor groups are eligible for Sensor Activity Monitoring (SAM)?
Sensor Activity Monitoring (SAM) allows users to see the current status (e.g., open, closed, idle, activated, etc.) of sensors enrolled in the system.
The Interlogix NX panel does not have a sensor type that is non-reporting. To make a zone non-reporting, put the zone into a different partition from the other zones. As long as the partition that the sensor is put in is not armed, the sensor acts as a non-reporting zone with SAM.
Note: Sensor Activity Monitoring (SAM) is not recommended for glassbreaks, smoke detectors, fire detectors, or carbon monoxide detectors because these put a panel into alarm regardless of the panel's current arming state.
