Sensor names are not being pulled from an Interlogix NX
Interlogix NX sensor names are stored in the keypad. If the sensor names are not uploading to the website, then something is affecting communication between the keypad, the panel, and the module.
If sensor names are not being pulled from an Interlogix NX:
- Power-cycle the NX to allow the module to re-scan the keypads.
- If no one is on-site, attempt sending a Hard Reset before moving on to checking keypad settings. For more information about sending a hard reset, see Send a Hard Reset command to a module.
- If sensor names still do not pull, the keypad may be in master mode. When a keypad is in master mode (i.e., has access to arm and disarm all partitions), Alarm.com cannot read the sensor names stored in that keypad.
- Having keypads in master mode can cause unexpected behavior, perhaps even partition arming status inconsistency. Alarm.com requires at least one keypad per partition rather than having one keypad in master mode to control all partitions.
- To enable or disable master mode:
- On the NX 148e (LCD) keypad, press [*][93][Programming Code]
- Press [*] until the keypad reads Master keypad?. The number in parentheses is the current setting. The following image displays a keypad that has master mode enabled.

- Press [0] to disable master mode. The screen advances to the next question without giving confirmation that the change was selected.
- After verifying there are no keypads in master mode, try requesting the sensor names. For more information about requesting sensor names, see Request or restore sensor names on the panel.
- If the system is still unable to retrieve sensor names, power-cycle the panel and request the names.
- If the system is still unable to retrieve sensor names, verify all keypads attached to the panel have unique keypad addresses.
