What do the LEDs on the Alarm.com module mean?
Depending on the panel, the Alarm.com module has a set of LEDs near the corner of the module that indicates different statuses.
Panels with LED light indicators on the cellular module:
- DSC Impassa
- Interlogix Concord
- Interlogix NX
- Interlogix Simon XT/XTi/XTi-5
- SEM - DSC PowerSeries
- SEM - Honeywell/ADEMCO Vista

L1 |
This light indicates general and cellular errors. If L1 flashing, then there is an error with the Alarm.com Module. The light flashes 1 to 8 times in an 8-second interval to indicate specific errors. For more information about what the number of flashes indicates as an error and common solutions, see Panels for the specific panel and module type. Note: It may take up to 10 minutes before L1 detects and flashes an error code. |

L2 |
This light indicates communication between the panel and the module. L2 flashes every time a data packet is received from the panel. Additionally:

L3 |
This light indicates communication with Alarm.com. L3 flashes every time the cellular signal level is checked and when packets are exchanged with Alarm.com. |

L4 |
This light indicates the signal strength. L4 flashes 0 to 5 times to indicate the module signal strength, or toggles on/off slowly when actively communicating with Alarm.com servers. |

L5 |
This light indicates Z-Wave status and errors. If there are no Z-Wave devices learned into the module, L5 will blink. Note: L5 is not available on every module type. |
