Verify the firmware version of a TS1 keypad and 2GIG GoControl panel are compatible
2GIG GoControl and TS1 firmware compatibility and guide
The following table displays the steps to upgrade or additional considerations for specific panel versions with TS1 firmware versions.
For information about finding the TS1 keypad's firmware version, see Verify the TS1 firmware version.
For more information about finding the panel's firmware version, see Find or request the firmware version of a 2GIG GoControl panel.
For more information about local upgrades, contact 2GIG.
| Panel firmware version | TS1 firmware version required to enroll | OTA upgrade information |
|---|---|---|
| 1.23 | 1.23+ | Sending the 1.23 upgrade using the Remote Toolkit will upgrade both the panel and TS1 to 1.23 |
| 1.19 | 1.14+ | Sending the 1.19 upgrade using the Remote Toolkit will upgrade the panel to 1.19 and the TS1 to 1.16 |
| 1.17 | 1.14+ | Sending the 1.17 upgrade using the Remote Toolkit will upgrade the panel to 1.17 and the TS1 to 1.16 |
| 1.16 | 1.13+ | Sending the 1.16 upgrade using the Remote Toolkit will upgrade both the panel and TS1 to 1.16 |
| 1.14 | 1.13+ | Sending the 1.14 upgrade using the Remote Toolkit will upgrade the panel to 1.14 and the TS1 to 1.13 |
| 1.13 | 1.13+ | Sending the 1.13 upgrade using the Remote Toolkit will upgrade both the panel and TS1 to 1.13 |
| 1.12 | 1.10+ | Sending the 1.12 upgrade using the Remote Toolkit will upgrade the panel to 1.12 and the TS1 to 1.10 |
| 1.10 | 1.10+ | Sending the 1.10 upgrade using the Remote Toolkit will upgrade both the panel and TS1 to 1.10 |
Note: If the panel is on version 1.14 and the TS1 is version 1.13, there is the ability to enroll the TS1 and then send an upgrade to the TS1 only, even if the panel is on version 1.14 already. This is also the same for panels on version 1.17 with TS1 keypads on version 1.14.

Considerations for panel and TS1 version 1.9
For a 2GIG GoControl version 1.9 to use a TS1 keypad, the firmware on the TS1 must also be version 1.9.
If using a 2GIG GoControl on version 1.5 or 1.6, the panel must first be updated to at least version 1.8, and then a TS1 version 1.8 is able to be associated to the panel. If firmware 1.9 is later desired, the 1.9 Over-The-Air (OTA) update can be sent to the paired system to update both the panel and TS1 to 1.9 together.
If using a 2GIG GoControl version 1.9 that has a TS1 version 1.9 associated with it but another TS1 on version 1.8 is going to be added to the system, delete all TS1 keypads currently associated to the panel. Once all TS1 keypads are removed, re-add them along with the 1.8 TS1 and then send the firmware upgrade using the Remote Toolkit so all touchscreens update.
Upgrades are unavailable for customer's version
If the message There are not any upgrades available for this customer's version appears when attempting to upgrade the panel or TS1 firmware version, then a TS1 is either at a higher version than the other device, or is not reporting its firmware version.
If this behavior occurs:
- Remove the TS1 that is on the higher firmware version or is not reporting its firmware version.
- Send the OTA upgrade using the Remote Toolkit.
- After the OTA upgrade is complete, re-enroll the TS1 to the 2GIG GoControl and verify the firmware version displays properly.
Note: A local upgrade can also be performed if this behavior occurs.
