Enable Dual-Path on the 2GIG GC3
The 2GIG GC3 is compatible with Dual-Path communication via Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. The panel must be on firmware version 3.1.0+.
Note: The panel cannot communicate over broadband only for Alarm.com.
To enable Dual-Path on the 2GIG GC3:
- Connect the panel to the Internet using Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
- To connect using Wi-Fi, see Connect a 2GIG GC3 to a Wi-Fi network.
- To connect using Ethernet, install a 2GIG-LAN-GC3 (this item can be purchased from 2GIG) into the panel and then connect an Ethernet cord. For further instructions, contact the panel manufacturer. The following images are visuals of the 2GIG-LAN-GC3:
Note: The battery is for scale only.
- Once the panel is connected to the Internet using Wi-Fi or Ethernet, verify Dual-Path communication is enabled on Alarm.com. For more information, see Enable or disable Dual-Path communication remotely.
