Interact with a Z-Wave device from a 2GIG GC2e
The 2GIG GC2e allows users to interact with Z-Wave lights, thermostats, locks, and garage devices locally at the panel in the Services menu. For information on adding Z-Wave devices, see Manage Z-Wave devices on a 2GIG GC2e.
Note: Additional Z-Wave devices may be able to be added and controlled locally. For more information, refer to the device manufacturer.
To interact with Z-Wave lights from a 2GIG GC2e:
- Tap Services.
- Tap Z-Wave.
- Tap Switches & Controls.
- Tap the desired light switch.
- Tap On, Off, or Rename.
To interact with Z-Wave thermostats from a 2GIG GC2e:
- Tap Services.
- Tap Z-Wave.
- Tap Thermostats.
- Tap the desired thermostat.
- Tap the arrows to set the Setpoint (in degrees), Mode (heat, cool, auto, auxiliary heat, off), Fan (auto, manual), or Rename.
To interact with Z-Wave locks from a 2GIG GC2e:
- Tap Services.
- Tap Z-Wave.
- Tap Doors and Locks.
- Tap the desired door/lock.
- Tap Lock, Unlock, or Az (Rename).
To interact with Z-Wave garage devices from a 2GIG GC2e:
- Tap Services.
- Tap Z-Wave.
- Tap Doors and Locks.
- Tap the desired garage device.
- Tap the up or down arrow, or Az (Rename).
- The screen displays Door is operating... before displaying the current status of the garage door.
