Enroll, delete, or reset a Yale nexTouch Commercial Grade One Cylindrical Keypad Lever Lock (NTB612)
Z-Wave locks use encrypted communication over Z-Wave, meaning their communication is completely secure. With this added security, the lock and the controller must use additional Z-Wave commands to enroll and communicate. With each additional command sent, the probability of a communication breakdown increases.

Important: Do not add or delete user codes locally to or from the lock. Only use the Alarm.com web interface for user code management.
To mitigate the chances of an enrollment failure for locks, complete the following during installation.
To enroll a Yale nexTouch Commercial Grade One Cylindrical Keypad Lever Lock (NTB612) into a Z-Wave network:
Note: SmartStart and S2 enrollment are only available for 700 Series locks. For 500 Series locks, see As an S0 device.
As a SmartStart device:
It is recommended to enroll this device as a SmartStart device to eliminate the need to put Z-Wave controllers into Add Mode or to trigger devices (as is the case when enrolling non-SmartStart S2 devices).

As an S2 device:
If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart-compatible, it is recommended to enroll this device as an S2 device for enhanced security and encryption features.

As an S0 device:
For 500 Series locks, or if the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart or S2-compatible, this device can be enrolled in the traditional way as an S0 device.
- Begin with the lock within 6 feet of the panel or module.
- Place the panel into Add Mode.
- Enter the master code, followed by a press of the gear button [⚙].
- Press [7], followed by the gear button [⚙].
- Press [1], followed by the gear button [⚙].
- Wait 2 minutes before locally operating the device.
- Verify that the lock appears on the Alarm.com customer website and responds to lock/unlock commands.
- Move the lock to its final location.
To delete a Yale nexTouch Commercial Grade One Cylindrical Keypad Lever Lock (NTB612) from a Z-Wave network:
- Place the panel into Delete Mode.
- Enter the master code, followed by a press of the gear button [⚙].
- Press [7], followed by the gear button [⚙].
- Press [3], followed by the gear button [⚙].
To reset a Yale nexTouch Commercial Grade One Cylindrical Keypad Lever Lock (NTB612):
- Remove the inside lever with the supplied lever removal tool (or possibly a piece of stiff wire).
- Remove the battery cover with the supplied hex wrench, and remove the batteries.
- Remove the screw from the center of the battery housing, and then fully remove the interior escutcheon (interior portion of the lock) from the door plate to access the reset button on the back of the escutcheon (try to keep cables connected).
- Reinstall 4 AA batteries for power, and press and hold the reset button for 3 seconds (continue holding for next step).
- While continuing to hold the button, fully remove and re-install one battery. Release the button after another 2 seconds and wait approximately 15 seconds. The speaker will announce "Welcome to Yale." Reassemble by reversing the dismantling instructions.
