 The Yale Pro SL Key-Free Pushbutton Deadbolt (YRD136) requires four AA Alkaline batteries. 

To replace the batteries in a Yale Pro SL Key-Free Pushbutton Deadbolt (YRD136): 

  1. Remove the battery cover.

  2. Verify the bolt is in the unlocked position.

  3. Insert four new AA batteries.

  4. Reinstall the battery cover.
