nami Wi-Fi Motion Sensor status will not update
If the nami Wi-Fi Motion Sensor does not provide an accurate motion status, functionality will be limited.
Note: Unlike other motion sensors that use Sensor Activity Monitoring, nami's motion zones status updates are delayed by about 30 seconds from when motion begins or about 90 seconds from when motion stops to avoid excessive status changes due to inconsistent motion activity.
Troubleshoot the Motion Sensor status
- Confirm that all nami plugs are plugged in and that the outlet is providing power.
- Confirm that all nami plugs are online.
Important: For best performance, at least three nami devices are required per zone. For best performance, at least three nami devices should be installed per zone within an area of no greater than 1,000 square feet. - Confirm that the nami plugs are not located near objects that may block the mesh Wi-Fi signal, such as behind a refrigerator.
- Confirm that there is motion near the plugs. nami sensors are designed to detect motion from people and may not detect smaller objects in motion.
