Enroll, delete, or reset a Zooz ZEN77 800LR In-Wall Switch

The Zooz ZEN77 800LR In-Wall Switch can be enrolled into or deleted from a Z-Wave network following the instructions below.

To enroll a Zooz ZEN77 800LR In-Wall Switch:

As a SmartStart/Long Range (LR) device: 

It is recommended to enroll this device as a SmartStart device to eliminate the need to put Z-Wave controllers into Add Mode or to trigger devices (as is the case when enrolling non-SmartStart S2 devices). This method also allows the device to utilize Z-Wave Long Range.

As an S2 device:

If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart-compatible, it is recommended to enroll this device as an S2 device for enhanced security and encryption features.

As an S0 device:

If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart or S2-compatible, this device can be enrolled in the traditional way as an S0 device.

  1. Place the Z-Wave controller into Add Mode.
  2. Press the top paddle quickly three times.
  3. The LED will turn green once successfully enrolled.

To delete a Zooz ZEN77 800LR In-Wall Switch:

  1. Place the Z-Wave controller into Delete Mode.
  2. Press the top paddle quickly three times.
  3. The LED will turn green once successfully removed.

To reset a Zooz ZEN77 800LR In-Wall Switch:

  1. Press and hold the bottom paddle for 10 seconds until the LED indicator starts blinking.
  2. Release the paddle and immediately press the lower paddle 5 times.
  3. The LED will blink blue, then turn red to indicate a successful reset.

Troubleshooting

The Z-Wave device is not enrolling

The Z-Wave device is not functioning consistently
