Enroll, delete, or reset a Shelly Wave Pro 1PM

The Shelly Wave Pro 1PM can be enrolled into or deleted from a Z-Wave network following the instructions below.

To enroll a Shelly Wave Pro 1PM:

As a SmartStart device:

It is recommended to enroll this device as a SmartStart device to eliminate the need to put Z-Wave controllers into Add Mode or to trigger devices (as is the case when enrolling non-SmartStart S2 devices).

As an S2 device:

If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart-compatible, it is recommended to enroll this device as an S2 device for enhanced security and encryption features.

As an S0 device:

If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart or S2-compatible, this device can be enrolled in the traditional way as an S0 device.

Using the S button: 
  1. Plug in the device and verify the blue LED is flashing.
  2. Place the Z-Wave controller into Add Mode.
  3. Press and hold the S button until the LED turns solid blue. 
  4. Quickly release and then press and hold the S button on the device until the blue LED starts blinking in mode 3. Then release the S button to initiate learn mode. 
  5. The blue LED will begin flashing. 
  6. The green LED will flash when the device is successfully enrolled.
Using a switch/push button: 
  1. Plug in the device and verify the blue LED is flashing.
  2. Place the Z-Wave controller into Add Mode.
  3. Toggle the switch/push button three times within 3 seconds. The blue LED will flash during this process.
  4. The green LED will flash green when the device is successfully enrolled.

To delete a Shelly Wave Pro 1PM:

Using the S button:  
  1. Place the Z-Wave controller into Delete Mode.
  2. Press and hold the S button until the LED turns solid blue. 
  3. Quickly release and then press and hold the S button on the device until the blue LED starts blinking in mode 3. Then release the S button to initiate learn mode. 
  4. The blue LED will start flashing in Mode 1 to indicate a successful deletion.
Using the switch/push button:   
  1. Plug in the device and verify the blue LED is flashing.
  2. Place the Z-Wave controller into Add Mode.
  3. Toggle the switch/push button three times within 3 seconds. The blue LED will flash during this process.
  4. The blue LED will start flashing in Mode 1 when the device is successfully deleted.

To reset a Shelly Wave Pro 1PM:

Using the S button:   
  1. Press and hold the S button until the LED turns solid blue.
  2. Press the S button several times until the LED turns solid red.
  3. Press and hold the S button until the red LED begins flashing in Mode 3. Release to begin the factory reset. 
  4. The LEDs will flash multiple colors before the blue LED 1 will flash in mode 1 to indicate a successful reset. 
Using the switch/push button:   

Note: This method can only be used within 10 seconds of powering on the device. 

  1. Plug in the device. 
  2. Toggle the switch on five times within 3 seconds. 
  3. The LEDs will flash multiple colors before the blue LED 1 will flash in mode 1 to indicate a successful reset. 

Troubleshooting

The Z-Wave device is not enrolling
