Enroll, delete, or reset a Shelly Qubino Wave Pro Shutter

The Shelly Qubino Wave Pro Shutter can be enrolled into or deleted from a Z-Wave network following the instructions below.

To enroll a Shelly Qubino Wave Pro Shutter:

As a SmartStart device:

It is recommended to enroll this device as a SmartStart device to eliminate the need to put Z-Wave controllers into Add Mode or to trigger devices (as is the case when enrolling non-SmartStart S2 devices).

As an S2 device:

If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart-compatible, it is recommended to enroll this device as an S2 device for enhanced security and encryption features.

As an S0 device:

If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart or S2-compatible, this device can be enrolled in the traditional way as an S0 device.

  1. Verify the Wave Pro Shutter is connected to power. Verify the blue LED blinks slowly (not yet added).
  2. Place the Z-Wave controller into Add Mode.
  3. Trigger the Wave Pro Shutter for inclusion:
    • Using an attached light switch:
      1. Toggle the attached switch on and off three times within 3 seconds.
    • Using the S button:
      1. Press and hold the S button until the LED turns solid blue.
      2. Release, then press and hold the S button for at least 2 seconds.
      3. Release the S button when the LED begins rapidly flashing.
  4. The blue LED will blink (0.5s on, 0.5s off) during the inclusion process.
  5. The green LED will blink slowly if the Wave Pro Shutter is successfully added to the Z-Wave network.

To delete a Shelly Qubino Wave Pro Shutter:

  1. Place the Z-Wave controller into Delete Mode.
  2. Trigger the Wave Pro Shutter for exclusion:
    • Using an attached light switch:
      1. Toggle the attached switch on and off three times within 3 seconds.
    • Using the S button:
      1. Press and hold the S button until the LED turns solid blue.
      2. Release, then press and hold the S button for at least 2 seconds.
      3. Release the S button when the LED begins rapidly flashing.
  3. The blue LED will blink quickly during the exclusion process.
  4. The blue LED will begin to blink slowly when the Wave Pro Shutter is successfully removed from the Z-Wave network. 

To reset a Shelly Qubino Wave Pro Shutter:

  1. Ensure the Wave 1 Relay is connected to power.
  2. Reset the Wave 1 Relay using an attached light switch or the S button:
    • Using an attached light switch:
      1. Verify the Wave 1 Relay is connected to power.
      2. Toggle the attached light switch on and off five times within 3 seconds.
    • Using the S button:
      1. Press and hold the S button until the LED turns solid blue.
      2. Press the S button multiple times, until the LED turns solid red.
      3. Release, then press and hold the S button for at least 2 seconds.
      4. Release the S button when the red LED begins rapidly flashing.
  3. During the reset the LED will turn solid green for about 1 second, then the red and blue LED will blink for about 2 seconds.
  4. The blue LED will blink slowly if the factory reset is successful.

Troubleshooting

The Z-Wave device is not enrolling
