Enroll, delete, or reset a Qolsys IQ Dimmer (QZ2140-840)

The IQ Dimmer (QZ2140-840) can be enrolled into or deleted from a Z-Wave network following the instructions below.

To enroll an IQ Dimmer (QZ2140-840) into a Z-Wave network:

  1. Place the Z-Wave controller into Add Mode.
  2. Plug in the device.
  3. Press the trigger button on the front of the device.
  4. Verify that the device shows up on the Alarm.com customer website or Alarm.com app and responds to commands to turn the Qolsys IQ Z-Wave Outlet on/off.

To delete an IQ Dimmer (QZ2140-840) from a Z-Wave network:

  1. Place the Z-Wave controller into Delete Mode.
  2. Press the trigger button on the front of the device.
  3. The controller should indicate that the device was removed successfully.

To reset an IQ Dimmer (QZ2140-840):

  1. Unplug the IQ Outlet from the AC outlet as well as the power plug of the appliance from the IQ Dimmer (if plugged in).
  2. Press and hold the trigger button on the front of the device.
  3. Plug the IQ Dimmer back into the AC outlet with the button pressed. After 3 seconds, release the button.
  4. If you see the button blink, that means that IQ Outlet has been reset successfully.

Troubleshooting

The Z-Wave device is not enrolling

The Z-Wave device is not functioning consistently

The Z-Wave device is in malfunction or offline
