Enroll, delete, or reset a Leviton Smart Outlet, 700 Series (ZW15R)

The Leviton Smart Outlet, 700 Series (ZW15R) can be enrolled into or deleted from a Z-Wave network following the instructions below.

To enroll a Leviton Smart Outlet, 700 Series (ZW15R):

As a SmartStart device:

It is recommended to enroll this device as a SmartStart device to eliminate the need to put Z-Wave controllers into Add Mode or to trigger devices (as is the case when enrolling non-SmartStart S2 devices).

As an S2 device:

If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart-compatible, it is recommended to enroll this device as an S2 device for enhanced security and encryption features.

As an S0 device:

If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart or S2-compatible, this device can be enrolled in the traditional way as an S0 device.

  1. Place the Z-Wave controller into Add Mode.
  2. Press and hold the button on the device for 7 seconds. The LED on the device will turn amber.
  3. Tap the button again. The LED will flash green.
  4. The LED will flash green four times to indicate successful enrollment.

To delete a Leviton Smart Outlet, 700 Series (ZW15R):

  1. Place the Z-Wave controller into Delete Mode.
  2. Press and hold the button on the device for 7 seconds. The LED on the device will turn amber.
  3. Tap
  4. the button again. The LED will quickly flash green.

To reset a Leviton Smart Outlet, 700 Series (ZW15R):

  1. Press and hold the button on the device for 14 seconds until the LED flashes amber. 
  2. Release the button to reset the device.

Troubleshooting

The Z-Wave device is not enrolling
