Enroll, delete, or reset a JascoPro In-Wall Smart Dimmer (76596/76597)

The JascoPro In-Wall Smart Dimmer (76596/76597) can be enrolled into or deleted from a Z-Wave network following the instructions below.

To enroll a JascoPro In-Wall Smart Dimmer (76597):

As a SmartStart/Long Range (LR) device:

It is recommended to enroll this device as a SmartStart device to eliminate the need to put Z-Wave controllers into Add Mode or to trigger devices (as is the case when enrolling non-SmartStart S2 devices). This method also allows the device to utilize Z-Wave Long Range.

As an S2 device:

If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart-compatible, it is recommended to enroll this device as an S2 device for enhanced security and encryption features.

As an S0 device:

If the Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart or S2-compatible, this device can be enrolled in the traditional way as an S0 device.

  1. Place the Z-Wave controller into Add Mode.
  2. Press the top or bottom rocker.

To delete a JascoPro In-Wall Smart Dimmer (76596/76597):

  1. Place the Z-Wave controller into Delete Mode.
  2. Press the top or bottom rocker.

To reset a JascoPro In-Wall Smart Dimmer (76596/76597):

  1. Pull up on the air gap switch.
  2. While holding down the bottom rocker, push in the air gap switch.
  3. Continue holding down the bottom rocker until the LED flashes all eight colors at once.

Troubleshooting

The Z-Wave device is not enrolling
