Enroll, delete, or reset a Hank Smart Plug (HKZW-SO09)
The Hank Smart Plug (HKZW-SO09) can be enrolled into or deleted from a Z-Wave network following the instructions below.

To enroll a Hank Smart Plug (HKZW-SO09) into a Z-Wave network:
As a SmartStart device:
It is recommended to enroll this device as a SmartStart device to eliminate the need to put Z-Wave controllers into Add Mode or to trigger devices (as is the case when enrolling non-SmartStart S2 devices).

As an S2 device:
If your Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart-compatible, it is recommended to enroll this device as an S2 device for enhanced security and encryption features.

As an S0 device:
If your Z-Wave controller is not SmartStart or S2-compatible, this device can be enrolled in the traditional way as an S0 device.
- Place the Z-Wave controller into Add Mode.
- Press the button three times within 1.5 seconds.
- The blue LED will blink three times then turn off to indicate that it was successfully added.
To delete a Hank Smart Plug (HKZW-SO09) from a Z-Wave network:
- Place the Z-Wave controller into Delete Mode.
- Press the button three times within 1.5 seconds.
- The blue LED will blink three times then turn off to indicate that it was successfully deleted.
To reset a Hank Smart Plug (HKZW-SO09):
- Press and hold the button for 20 seconds.
- The blue LED will flash rapidly then become solid for 3 seconds.
