Enroll, delete, or reset a GoControl Z-Wave Wall Dimmer Switch (WD500Z5-1)

The GoControl Z-Wave Wall Dimmer Switch (WD500Z5-1) can be enrolled into or deleted from a Z-Wave network following the instructions below.

To enroll a GoControl Z-Wave Wall Dimmer Switch into a Z-Wave network:

  1. Place the Z-Wave controller into Add Mode. 
  2. Press the switch. The LED will blink slowly when the device is in Add Mode.
  3. The LED will stop blinking when the device has been successfully enrolled.
  4. Verify that the device shows up on Alarm.com customer website or Alarm.com app and responds to commands to turn the device on/off.

To delete a GoControl Z-Wave Wall Dimmer Switch from a Z-Wave network:

  1. Place the Z-Wave controller into Delete Mode.
  2. Press the switch two times.
  3. The LED will blink slowly for 10 seconds when the device has been successfully deleted.

To reset a GoControl Z-Wave Wall Dimmer Switch:

  1. Press the top of the switch five times.
  2. Press and hold the bottom of the switch for 15 seconds.
  3. The LED will blink faster as the device is successfully reset.

Troubleshooting

The Z-Wave device is not enrolling
