How many images can an Image Sensor store?
Image Sensor rules are managed on the Customer Website to capture images after a specified event. Captured images are stored locally in the Image Sensor. For more information about what type of images are captured, see What image captures are included in each Images service package?.
Once images are captured, they are either automatically uploaded or manually uploaded upon request. This depends on how the rule is set up. After the image is uploaded, it can be viewed on the customer's Image Sensor Gallery on the Customer Website or app. Uploaded images count towards the customer's Image Sensor upload quota. For more information about manually uploading images, see Upload captured images to the Image Sensor Gallery.
For information about the upload quota, see How many images can customers upload per month?.
Capture limit per Image Sensor model
All Image Sensors models, except the ADC-IS-300-LP, captures two images per event with each image one second apart. The ADC-IS-300-LP captures four images per event. All four images are captured within a couple of seconds. Customers can switch to two images per event, if they prefer, using the Customer Website.
Captured images by the Image Sensor that are not automatically uploaded are stored locally in the Image Sensor until an upload is requested. The following is the maximum number of events captured that can be stored in each Image Sensor models.
Note: Ranges are based on the size of capture which can vary based on content in the image.
- The ADC-IS-100-LP and ADC-IS-100-GC hold the most recent 50-80 events captured that are available to be uploaded.
- The ADC-IS-200-LP, ADC-IS-221-LP, ADC-IS-200-GC, and ADC-IS-220-GC hold the most recent 800 to 1200 events captured that are available to be uploaded.
- The ADC-IS-300-LP holds the most recent 800 events captured that are available to be uploaded.
Once the maximum number of events captured is reached, the oldest image is removed in the Image Sensor for the new image to be stored. If a captured event is overwritten on the Image Sensor, it is shown in the event history as Not Available and cannot be uploaded.
