Clear an Image Sensor tamper

The Image Sensor does not have a physical tamper switch. Instead, it has an accelerometer that senses when the device is in motion or on tilt. It usually tampers if the Image Sensor is moved, and almost always tampers if shaken.

Note: If the Image Sensor is near something that would cause it to vibrate (e.g., a door often closing hard), a tamper may occur.

To clear a Sensor Tamper trouble condition caused by an Image Sensor:

  1. Verify the Image Sensor is sitting still in the correct position.

  2. Allow 5 minutes for the Sensor Tamper trouble condition to clear on its own.
