What rules and notifications are available for LiftMaster and Linear garage devices?

LiftMaster and Linear garage devices have the ability to configure rules that, when triggered, perform specific actions and send notifications when a rule is triggered.

Triggers and resulting actions:

Garage door opens/closes:

This trigger can result in the following actions:

Turn on/off light
Send notifications (available for open/close)
Initiate video recording

Garage door left open:

This trigger can be set for when the garage door opener is left open for a set amount of time and/or is left open when a Geo-Device leaves a Geo-Fence.

This trigger can result in the following action:

Send notification

Arm stay/away:

Note: This trigger cannot be set up with a delay. It triggers regardless of whether the system is armed from the panel, keyfob, another rule, or app/website.

This trigger can result in the following action:

Close garage door

Disarm:

Note: This trigger cannot be set up with a delay. It triggers regardless of whether the system is armed from the panel, keyfob, another rule, or app/website.

This trigger can result in the following action:

Open garage door

Create garage notifications

To create garage notifications using the Alarm.com customer website:

Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
Click Notifications.
To edit the notification, click for the Garage notification.
If the notification has not been created, click New Notification, and then click to select Garage.
